But really — she was wearing underwear — it was on a film shoot for her new video.

Everyone is up in arms because Perez Hilton’s original tweet made it appear that Miley didn’t wear any underwear — and he had no shame in posting a picture of a 17-year-old’s “private parts”.

Vince Young Fisticuffs at Strip Club

Dateline 6/13/2010 – Vince Young probably didn’t have plans for his night out to end the way it did. Unfortunately, when you have a violent misunderstanding and you are a figure in the news, people take notice. Early this morning Mr. Young was provoked it would seem in an altercation stemming from some negative reference to his alma mater. For what it’s worth, the episode was captured on video tape and, of course, is all over the internet.

More importantly than the fact that Vince Young was involved in such a situation is the fact that high profile investigators for the Dallas police department have been called in. The special investigative force doesn’t usually show up for minor incidents of this kind. It’s almost like calling the FBI out for a child candy thief. There must be a lull in big crime on this weekend in Dallas.

The charge is a Class C misdemeanor, which isn’t usually newsworthy on any scale, even when a Vince Young is involved. The assault violation carries with it a fine of about $500, which is probably less than Vince spent on his night out. With this much press and media interest, you wonder if someone isn’t trying to take sports coverage away from the World Cup. At any rate, Mr. Young might want to stay home next Saturday and rent a movie.

The American football quarterback for the Tennessee Titans Vince Young was charged for a strip club assault last June 13, 2010. Police reported that he had a fight at a Dallas strip club but able to leave right before the police arrived on the scene Sunday morning. The incident happened at Club Onyx at 10557 Wire Way around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

It was clearly caught at the surveillance video footage and was released by the police for evidence. The video shows several people chatting in a small room when suddenly Vince Young attacked someone in the room. Some of the people have tried to stop Vince Young. Some said that Vince young was provoked because a man in the room insulted the University of Texas which is Young’s alma mater. The man at Club Onyx made a derogatory “hornsdown” hand sign pertaining to University of Texas.Vince Young had left a victim suffering from body injury. Vince Young strike the man in the face causing an injury to his lip. The video are all over the internet and experts say that this is not engineered. Random tweets are also mentioning thatVince Young has been in the Club Onyx from early Sunday morning.

Because of the incident, police said that Vince Young will be given Class C assault citation. The police said that they have watched the video and interviewed people in the Club Onyx present in the scene before issuing the Class C assault. This is punishable by fine from $500 but no one will be arrested, according to Dallas police Lt. Andy Harvey. Robbie Bohren, Titans spokesman said that the news had reached the team and they are trying to contactVince Young . Robbie said that they are still gathering information about what had happen. DALLAS - Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young received a misdemeanor assault citation after getting into a fight at a Dallas strip club and leaving before authorities arrived early Sunday, police said.

Surveillance video footage released by police showed the former University of Texas star and several people talking in a small room before Young attacked someone in the room. Others tried to break up the fight.

Young wasn’t at Club Onyx when police responded to a call about the fight, said Dallas police Lt. Andy Harvey.

Harvey said an investigation led to Young receiving a Class C assault citation, punishable by a fine up to $500.

Titans spokesman Robbie Bohren said the team was aware of the incident and had contacted Young. He said the team was still gathering information. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said in a tweet that the league “will look into it.”

Titans coach Jeff Fisher was holding his annual charity softball game Sunday night in Nashville. Young was not on the early list of players committed to appear in the game.

The Titans resume on-field sessions Monday.

Young, the No. 3 pick overall in 2006, got his starting job back last fall when Tennessee started 0-6 and owner Bud Adams put him back in the lineup. He helped the Titans win eight of their final 10 and heads into his fifth NFL season with a 26-13 record as a starter.

Vince Young can also suffer consequences from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell under the league’s personal conduct policy.

Zenyatta Stages Rally, Setting Record in High Style

INGLEWOOD , Calif. — For a horse that carries herself with inimitable style, quaffing Guinness after workouts and prancing around the paddock as if she were preparing for dressage, Zenyatta high-stepped her way into the record books with a characteristic flourish.

Coming from last place entering the final turn, Zenyatta hunted down St Trinians over the last 200 yards and passed her by a half-length to win the 69th Vanity Handicap on Sunday and set a record for modern-day, top-tier thoroughbreds with her 17th consecutive victory.

Citation and Cigar each had winning streaks ended at 16, and there were more than a few in the crowd who thought Zenyatta’s would end there, too.

Zenyatta, carrying 129 pounds, 9 more than St Trinians, had to swing wide coming off the final turn and was initially unable to make up any ground on St Trinians as they headed for home. Then she found another gear.

“What a race. What a race,” her owner Jerry Moss said after Zenyatta covered the mile and an eighth in 1 minute

49.01 seconds. “Amazing.”

Asked a few moments later if he was nervous as Zenyatta, who had turned in some lackluster practice times recently, charged down the stretch, Moss said he had faith in a horse that has never lost.

“I just thought she was going to get there somehow,” Moss said. “You never know. You’re just hoping. I didn’t get too panicked, so to speak. I don’t know what I would have done if I panicked. It would have been the same look.

While Moss and Zenyatta’s trainer John Shirreffs waited for their horse after the win, jockey Mike Smith stopped Zenyatta on the track and turned her toward the crowd, which rose to applaud her. He then took off his riding helmet and glanced toward the gray overcast sky.

“When we headed for home, I hit a real big gear and she hit another one right back at me,” Smith said of St Trinians, who was ridden by Martin Garcia. “I said, Whoa, she’s serious. She’s going to make me run. I was working at it until the last 100 yards and then I knew I’d outgrind her.”

The victory, with a winner’s purse of $150,000, pushed Zenyatta’s career winnings to more than $6 million.

That the landmark victory came at Hollywood Park was fitting. It is her home track, the site of her first race as a 3-year-old in 2007, and the place where she was paraded last November, a presumptive farewell trot, on Zenyatta Day.

Hollywood Park, like the neighboring Forum that was once home to Magic Johnson’s Lakers and Wayne Gretzky’s Kings, has seen better days. Once a magnet for Hollywood crowds, the track will probably last only as long as the economic downturn. The Hollywood Park Land Co., which owns the track, is waiting for the economy to improve to go ahead with its plans to raze it and replace it with a residential and retail complex.

The atmosphere was hardly forlorn Sunday. Typical weekend crowds number in the low thousands at Hollywood Park, but Zenyatta’s presence on her bobblehead giveaway day increased that to boisterous 12,232.

When Zenyatta entered the paddock to warm up, the crowd surrounding it was five deep in places and fans packed the grandstand balcony that over looked it. Bo Derek and Burt Bacharach were among those inside the paddock, hoping to watch a historic run.

When Smith mounted Zenyatta, she pranced around the track while the other horses walked, occasionally letting her tongue hang out, like an equine Michael Jordan.

It was that charisma — and her joy of racing — that persuaded Moss to decide to run her this year after he had retired her at the end of 2009.

“We brought her back because she loved her job,” Moss said. “Even though I emotionally retired her by myself, I hadn’t talked to my wife, my partner. I hadn’t talked to our racing manager or our trainer. She still had a lot of life in her. This is what she likes to do, this is where she lives. We asked John, can she do another year? He said, yeah, I think so. And we said fine, we’ll unretire her.”

The question now is where will she race next? And when?

Moss has targeted the Breeders’ Cup Classic in November at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., with many fans wondering if they would see Zenyatta face off against Rachel Alexandra, a winner Saturday by 10 ½ lengths in the Fleur De Lis Handicap at Churchill.

“There are a lot of races that are possibilities,” said Shirreffs, who added that a run at Belmont Park remained a possibility.

“We’ll see how things are.”

It’s been a so-so theater season when it comes to dramatic roles for women — or so plenty of people groused when the Tony nominations were announced last month. Compared to the guys, it’s hard to deny.

Ironically, now that the pageant of Broadway’s best is here (the awards show airs tonight at 8 o’clock on CBS), the women are the ones who are providing the lion’s share of drama.

Like Scarlett Johansson . The film starlet has been eying Broadway for the past few years. She finally arrived with a revival of Arthur Miller?a>??s “A View From the Bridge” — and it was well worth the wait.

Barring a surprise, ScarJo will walk away with a statuette as best featured actress for her vivid portrait of a ripe but innocent 17-year-old Brooklyn girl with an obsessive uncle, played by Liev Schreiber, who’s also Tony-nominated.

Not bad for a Broadway debut — and for a 25-year-old actress with a mile-long résumé (she’s been making films since she was 10) and what seems to be an unshakable target on her back for naysayers.

“All she does is purse her lips, thrust out her boobs and lisp her way through movies,” snapped an online critic.

Johansson did none of that onstage. Nor did she rely on transparent panties, à la “Lost in Translation,” or a formfitting catsuit, à la “Iron Man 2,” to call attention to her ample curves.

She simply acted. And she was quietly captivating, always convincing as her character’s love and respect for her uncle drained away after his betrayals. Johansson also fit right in with a stageful of seasoned theater pros.
Two shows that transferred from London, “Red,” a play that uncovers the angst of artist Mark Rothko, and a revival of campy musical “La Cage aux Folles,” were heavily favored to win best play and best musical revival.

Unlike previous years, competition for the best new musical award is fiercest, with “Fela!” a dance musical telling of Nigerian Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti favored along with “Memphis,” about the roots of rock’n’roll and at lesser odds, Green Day’s musical “American Idiot.”

The Jay-Z produced “Fela!,” which blazed its way onto Broadway in November and tied for the highest number of Tony nominations with “La Cage auxFolles,” would be the first musical to center on the lives of black characters to win best musical since “Ain’t Misbehavin” in 1978.
The quarterback has seen “Billy Elliot,” “In the Heights” and “Memphis” multiple times. “Memphis,” a 1950s interracial love story, is one of this year’s best musical nominees. He’s rooting for it to win, says his brother.

Ghana’s victory over Serbia 1-0 in World Cup Soccer play and on a penalty kick has signaled Africa’s growth as a Soccer power.

Ghana’s Black Star Team was the talk of World Cup Soccer until Germany opened Group D play with what can only be called sheer, utter, and total destruction of Australia 4-0.

But before we look at Germany’s awesome display of powerful athletic dominance, we have to look back at Ghana’s win over Serbia.

Ghana’s win had observers talking about how South Africa was the perfect choice to showcase Africa’s rise in The World Cup. With South Africa’s tie with Mexico on Saturday and Ghana’s win, Africa has just one loss (Algeria to Slovenia and that was just 1-0) among the six African teamsin The World Cup as of this writing. Moreover, there are 53 teams in Africa, so the six in the World Cup have emerged from a very large and competitive field. Indeed, Ghana’s play and South Africa’s surprising win damaged bracket predictions, and created a wide open race.
Kieran: Can we beat Germany? Can we beat the sixth rank team in the world? That’s what it all comes down to. German coach Joachim Loew added a bit of spice to this one earlier in the week when he suggested that Australia would “offer anything but a great spectacle” and insisted that his team should “want to be able to embarrass opponents with our playing skills”. The Aussies, typically, refused to be drawn on the issue and instead, decided to hang out with John Travolta and sing Grease songs in preparation for their opening match up. Many see Australia as the weakest team in a fairly open group D, but it really is a group where nearly anything could happen. WhilstGermany are missing captain Michael Ballack, and perhaps just a little bit of quality compared to previous World Cups, they are always dangerous and will cause the Australian’s problems. Despite Harry Kewell pleading his fitness, coach Pim Verbeek is likely to keep him out for this one, in the hope he’ll be raring to go for the remaining group games.

he brand-new season of HBO’s hit supernatural series True Blood returns to the airwaves tonight for its third season premiere. True Blood, loosely based by on Charlaine Harris “The Southern Vampire Mysteries” novels, centers around Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress in the fictional town of Bon Temps.

Sookie falls in love with a 200 year old vampire named Bill Compton, who was kidnapped at the end of last season’s finale just as he was about to propose to Sookie. According to various spoilers and leaks, we will find out who kidnapped Bill Compton within the first few minutes of tonight’s episode.
Shortly after, The Queen returns. I didn’t hate her as much as some of my other True Blood loving friends, but regardless, she’s back and as commanding as ever. The Queen is worried about the selling of V and gives very specific orders to Eric. The only other person who knows about Eric and the V is Bill, so of course it is in Eric’s best interest to find Bill.

One of the characters I love the most — Pam — is taking on a bigger role this season, and I am so excited about that. There is an amazing scene between her and Sookie that made me laugh out loud. I just love her subtlety. Kristin Bauer van Straten is such a brilliant actress and I can’t wait to see more shining moments with her.
